Austin private school tuition costs for 2026-27

Our launch catalog shows a wide spread. Clear examples run from Austin Peace Academy’s $8,500 page labeled 2025 to a $45,000 St. Stephen’s day-student total for grades 9-12 in 2026-27. This is not a citywide average.

What the 20-school catalog can show

The launch catalog has 20 Austin profiles researched from official pages. Fifteen have a published tuition figure or useful description; five do not. This is a comparison set, not every school in Austin or a statistical sample. Different grades, schedules, years, and included fees make one average misleading.

Lower figures may have conditions

Austin Peace Academy labels $8,500 as 2025 tuition without naming a school year. St. Ignatius lists $8,567 for active parishioners and $9,567 standard for K-8 in 2026-27. San Juan Diego lists a $13,900 cost to educate and an $8,100 family balance after its subsidy. These are different measures. Confirm year, qualifications, subsidy, and fees.

  • Verify an older posted price
  • Check parishioner rules
  • Ask whether a subsidy applies to every admitted student
  • Compare first-child and sibling rates separately

Turn tuition into family cost

Add application, enrollment, care, meals, uniforms, transport, activities, and support if excluded. Subtract only confirmed aid and usable program funds. A school may consider TEFA when setting need-based aid. Use the calculator for scenarios, then replace estimates with written figures before signing.

  • Choose the grade and schedule
  • Add required and needed extras
  • Subtract confirmed post-TEFA aid
  • Check deposits and refund rules
