Calculator and shortlist

Calculator entries stay in page memory and are cleared when you leave or reload. We do not place them in web addresses or save them to a server. A printed or saved PDF is under your control. Shortlists store only school identifiers in your browser’s local storage. Remove saved schools or clear browser site data to delete them.

Usage measurement and PostHog

We record aggregate daily counts for page visits, filter use, shortlist additions, completed rule checks, printed estimates, school-site clicks, school inquiry submissions, and parent update sign-ups. These counts contain an event name, page path, and sometimes a school identifier. We also send those events to PostHog in the United States, with a broad traffic-source category and a random identifier stored in this tab’s session storage. The identifier connects actions within a tab session, including page reloads; it is not an account or a name. Closing the tab normally clears it, though browser session restore or duplicated tabs can retain it. No calculator answers, school inquiry contact details, full referrer addresses, URL query strings, or visitor IP addresses are sent to PostHog by our application. We disable location enrichment and person profiles, and do not use automatic form capture or session recordings.

These are event and tab-session counts, not verified unique families. Our Cloudflare database retains aggregate daily counts without session identifiers; PostHog retains the limited events described above. We reject obvious automated submissions and honor supported Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set by this launch.

Parent email updates

If you separately join parent email updates, we store your email, the page where you joined, and the related planning interest so we can send the three-note sequence you requested. This does not create a school inquiry, share your email with schools, or enroll a school contact. Every update includes an unsubscribe link; unsubscribed and delivery-suppressed addresses stay blocked from future sends.

School inquiries, claims, and privacy requests

If you submit our form, we store the contact name, school or organization, email, website or source link, request category, consent version, time, and reference number you provide. A school claim also stores the directory school identifier, your stated role, public evidence type and URL, optional correction note, optional enhanced-profile interest, review status, and the reviewer’s dated decision note. We use this information to review and respond to the request. We do not fetch a submitted evidence URL automatically.

Claims begin as pending manual review. An email address or school website does not automatically prove authority, grant profile access, or create a subscription. Enhanced-profile interest is stored separately from the review decision. Factual corrections remain free. Do not submit child records, diagnoses, tax forms, private documents, passwords, or family financial information.

Inquiry, claim, and audit records are stored in our Cloudflare database until we complete the request or receive a verified deletion request; routine deletion is handled manually at launch. We do not currently promise a fixed retention period. Use the form’s “Remove my submitted contact information” option with the same email address to request deletion. We may verify the request before removing records while retaining a minimal audit record when needed to document a review.

Hosting and outside links

Cloudflare processes network information to deliver and protect this site. Its rate limiter may use your IP address to limit abusive submissions. We do not add that address to our application database. School websites and official program links have their own privacy policies. We do not control their forms or tracking.

Who operates the site?

Which Private School is an independent commercial guide operated by WhichPrivateSchool. It is not a government program, school, or nonprofit. No parent lead resale or school-directed parent inquiry form is active at launch.
